- I am an author, playwright and poet. After growing up as the middle child in a family of seven children, I raised two sons just a few miles from where I grew up in the Midwest USA. My writing career began in college at Southern Illinois University, where I completed a special major of my own design in the College of Liberal Arts, "Visual Literacy." This program allowed me to study all aspects of the visual image and its relationship to the word. It also gave me the experience of producing my work in several venue stages across the university. My work is a reflection of my innate wisdom and my dream of the possibilities of life. My poetry speaks of life unfolding. My plays speak of personal integration.
